Although becoming a member of Faith is not a prerequisite for participation in our congregation or ministries, it is the best way to be a genuine part of the church.
The membership process is simple yet thorough. We simply want to asses two things:
1. Are you a Christian?
2. Do you understand what it means to be passionately committed to this particular church?
Below are 3 steps to become a Faith covenant member. After you have filled out a Connection Card indicating your interest, these steps would be next to follow.
Step 1 – “Covenant Membership” Class
Take the “Covenant Membership” Class, which explains who we are, what we believe, why join a church, how we operate as a church, and provides an opportunity to get to know Faith Alliance Church pastors and elders.
Step 2 - Elder Meeting
Meet with 1-2 elders from Faith. This meeting will usually take place on a Sunday morning during the Sunday Classes hour, but we would be happy to work with you to schedule an appointment suitable to your calendar. If recommended for membership, an elder will submit your name to the rest of the Elders during a Spiritual Life Team meeting for approval.
Step 3 – Membership Vow
Take your membership vows at a Sunday Worship service. If you have not been baptized before, your baptism will be scheduled either before or for the same service.
